CURRICULUM

We use the WEE Learn Curriculum Guides.  The purpose of these guides is to provide a framework on which we can build an early childhood program that allows children to grow and develop as Jesus did.  These guides provide a range of activities designed to meet the needs of each child at their level of development along the growth continuum.  It is developed around themes which provide opportunities for children to learn about God’s world and how to live in it.  Activities which embrace physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual development are included under each theme topic.  These themes are designed to help lay a foundation for understanding God, Jesus, Bible, church, self, family, others and natural world.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Enrichment Curriculum –
we offer additional enrichment classes that will include Health and P.E., Music and Movement, Library, Chapel and for our 4's, Computers.

Flexible schedules – we offer two – five days per week and you can choose the days that best fit your schedule.

Drop-In for all ages – this service provides parents with occasional babysitting services that offer a consistent caregiver in a Christ-centered atmosphere.

Summer preschool program – this service provides the same care but with an abbreviated schedule.  We meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in June and July.  This is for ages 15 months - Pre-Kindergarten.

Field Trips – all children are exposed to as many enrichment opportunities as possible.  Three year olds may occasionally take field trips.  Our four year olds go on a monthly field trip which is designed around our weekly topics.  Some include:  a farm, Natural Science Center, All-A-Flutter Butterfly farm, grocery store, Millis Health Education Center, etc.

Thanksgiving Feast – this is an opportunity for parents, children, staff and church members to come together and enjoy a covered dish lunch and program.

End of Year Picnic – this is a time to celebrate a great year with everyone who is so supportive of this great outreach program of First Baptist Church.

We are always striving to incorporate many great programs and features into the WEE program.  We also encourage parents to bring their time and talents to use for the benefit of the children!
